This week's net topic was Weather Spotting, part II. My guest was Miguel Miller, National Weather Service Forecaster and Weather Spotter Program Manager. Jim Courter KF6RWF, Regional Coordinator, SW California SKYWARN will try to check in as well. The net originated from the amateur radio station within the National Weather Service forecast office in San Diego.

Since our Outdoor Adventures often take us to remote places with little or no shelter, being able to recognize the potential for severe weather is very important and could be critical to survival. Miguel Miller and I will discuss how to recognize incoming severe weather, from snow, wind, heavy rain, flooding, to lightning and tornados. We will also open up for all to describe any severe weather that listeners may have encountered and how you handled it.
